UCI HARDNESS TESTER NOVOTEST T-U3
Novotest UCI Hardness tester uses ultrasonic contact-impedance method of measuring
hardness standardized according to ASTM A1038.
UCI probe is used for measuring the hardness of small products, objects with a thin
wall, complex shape, and to measure the hardness
of surface hardened layers.
Novotest offers hardness testers that implement the method of ultrasonic contact
impedance (UCI) in accordance with ASTM A1038.
UCI Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-U3 is the most modern and advanced ultrasonic contact
impedance device available in the market.
Method: A vibrating rod (mechanical resonator) with a diamond indenter tip in the
devices. When it is indented into the material,
the base frequency of the resonator changes, on the basis of which the hardness is
calculated.
