Combined Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-UD3 offer two methods of hardness measurement by an indirect method in single instrument: Ultrasonic Contact Impedance (ASTM A1038) and Leeb (ASTM A956). The advantages of connecting both probes with two methods provides users the flexibility to use the measuring method which is the most suitable for the measured object. The Combined Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-UD3 allows user to measure the hardness of any metals, parts of any shape and thickness, measure the hardness of the surface hardened layers and evaluate the tensile strength.

The instrument will be preconfigured for measuring the hardness of a wide range of materials including steel, alloyed steels, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, bronze, brass, copper, iron.

The device comes with sealed housing with rubber protecting shockproof linings which makes the device suitable for use in field conditions with high humidity and dust.

Built-in Camera With built-in camera, the user is able to store an images of the tested objects correspond to the hardness of a specific spot on the product.

Measuring Complex Shape With the ultrasonic probe, measuring hardness on the complicated shape such as grooves, surfaces of small radius, inaccessible places and products of complex shape is possible.

Small Imprint of UCI type of probe UCI probe has an advantage of performing measurement on products with high print requirements (where maximum non-destructive method is required), as well as measuring the hardness of hardened layers, such as nitriding and cementation due to the fact that UCI probe has only a penetration depth of a few micron meters.

Measurement on Parts with Bad Surface Using Leeb probe (a dynamic probe), testing the hardness of products with poorly prepared surfaces is possible. It is also possible to measure products with coarse-grained structure.
