Heat Flow Meter HFM

The Linseis Heat Flow Meter (HFM) is a thermal conductivity instrument that measures the thermal conductivity of insulating materials. The HFM is designed based on ASTM C518, JIS A1412, ISO 8301 and DIN 12667 standards. The HFM determines the thermal transmittance (U-value) and the thermal conductivity of insulating materials. Compared to other methods such as Guarded Hot Plate (GHP), HFM measurements deliver accurate values for the thermal conductivity much faster.

The Heat Flow Meter is used in the construction industry, equipment manufacturing, or the production of refrigerators, freezers, etc. for testing and quality control of thermal insulation materials.

The HFM is a reliable and easy-to-use instrument that offers a number of technical advantages, including:
  • High precision and accuracy
  • Fast measurement speed
  • Robust design
  • Automated operation
  • Wide temperature range
