Elastomer Testing

Moving Die Rheometer with flexible amplitude
MDR ELASTOGRAPH-S

The Moving Die Rheometer MDR ELASTOGRAPH-S, a rotor-less vulcameter from GÖTTFERT is the ideal solution to measure the viscoelastic behaviour of natural and synthetic rubber compounds in plasticised state, either during vulcanisation or after vulcanisation according to the ISO 6502, ASTM D5289 and DIN 53529.

The vulcameter can be equipped with choice of different test chamber designs from quasi, to hermetically sealed test chambers in biconical, shore and paste versions, which depends on the standard and material used. With the optional autoloader, multiple tests can be performed fully automatically without user intervention.

During the testing, the instrument imposed a torsional load onto the sample by the rotational oscillation of the lower half test die. The recording of the Torque value and phase angle vs test time is carried out.

Compared to the MDR ELASTOGRAPH, the MDR ELASTOGRAPH-S has a larger and user-definable amplitude from +/- 0.01° up to +/- 10°.
