Intrinsic Viscosity Analyzer - IVA Versa

The IVA Versa is a fully-automated intrinsic viscosity analyzer that provides accurate and reproducible results for a wide range of polymers. It is a versatile instrument that can be used to analyse PET, polyester, PVC, and PMMA, among others. The IVA Versa is easy to use and eliminates user contact with solvents, making it a safe and efficient way to measure intrinsic viscosity (IV).

The IVA Versa complies with the ASTM D5225 (Standard Test Method for Measuring Solution Viscosity of Polymers with a Differential Viscometer). It is currently in the process of being included in the ISO 1628-1 as an alternative to the current method based on Ubbelohde glass capillaries.

The IVA Versa software automates the entire intrinsic viscosity analysis process, from filling the vials with solvent to dissolving and injecting the sample. The only task required of the end user is to weigh the sample in the vial and place it in the instrument. From that point on, the instrument takes over and performs all the necessary steps without any manual intervention.

The IVA Versa software is a virtual instrument, which means that it can be operated from a computer. This allows users to monitor the progress of the analysis and receive feedback from the instrument's detectors.

Benefits:
  • Gain a competitive edge by providing accurate and reproducible intrinsic viscosity data
  • Save time and money by eliminating manual steps
  • Improve safety by eliminating user contact with solvents
  • Increase productivity by using a versatile and easy-to-use instrument
