Adjustable Rotating Sample Divider for Representative Sample Reduction

The Ants Scientific AF400 Rotating Tube Divider is an adjustable sample reduction and portioning system designed for bulk loose materials with feed sizes up to 10 mm. It provides representative and dust-free sample division while allowing users to adjust the proportion of the retained sample.

The AF400 is available with bottom cones providing 1, 2 or 3 sample outlets. The division ratio can be adjusted through the width of the dividing slot, allowing the user to select the required sample quantity according to the application. An optional AF300 vibratory feeder can provide controlled and consistent sample feeding.

Working Principle

The sample enters the rotating tube divider through a controlled feed. The material is distributed around the circumference of the bottom cone by a rotating deflector tube.

Depending on the selected bottom cone and dividing-slot width, a defined proportion of the material is directed into the sample collection vessel while the remaining material is collected as reject. This allows the AF400 to reduce larger bulk samples to a representative portion for subsequent analysis.
