AM420 Planetary Ball Mill

The Ants Scientific AM420 Planetary Ball Mill is a high-energy laboratory grinding system designed for fine grinding and homogenization of a broad range of materials, from soft and medium-hard samples to hard, brittle, fibrous and tough materials.

Its planetary grinding mechanism combines the rotation of the grinding jars around their own axes with their orbital movement around the sun wheel. This creates high-energy impact and friction inside the grinding jars, enabling efficient pulverization and fine grinding.

The AM420 provides two grinding stations, giving laboratories greater sample throughput than the single-station AM410 while retaining the high-energy planetary grinding principle.

It is suitable for general fine grinding as well as more demanding research applications such as colloidal grinding, nanomaterial preparation and mechanical alloying.
