Precise Single-Screw Extrusion for Material Characterization:
HAAKE™ Rheomex single-screw laboratory extruders deliver consistent data, verifying process parameters like speed, energy, and temperature for both familiar and new materials. Produce small quantities of novel polymers in various forms – strands, sheets, pellets, and blown films. Integrated melt pressure and melt temperature measuring ports, along different length/diameter (L/D) extruder barrels, allow for in-depth study of process parameters. Connect dies to form the polymer melt into strands or films. Utilize specialized rheological dies (slit, rod, x-die) to measure shear and elongational viscosity at defined shear rates. Customize your extrusion process with a range of screw geometries, including varying compression ratios, venting, and mixing sections. Wear-reduced screws and barrels ensure long-lasting performance. Standard pellet feeders and specialized feeding systems for powders, pastes, liquids, or highly viscous rubber complete the versatile setup.
