VICKERS Hardness Testing

Vickers hardness testing is a widely used method for measuring the hardness of materials by indenting a diamond pyramid indenter into the material’s surface with a specific force and the resulting indentation is measured. The hardness value, expressed in Vickers Hardness Number (HV), is calculated based on the applied load and the diagonal length of the indentation.
