Jaw Crushers and Disk Mills are one of the common laboratory grinders that is used for hard, brittle and temperature sensitive materials.

In a Jaw Crusher, the samples are crushed under high pressure between a fixed and a movable crushing jaw.

In a Disk Mill, the materials are grinded by pressure and shearing between two counteracting grinding disks with interlocking teeth. Grinding parts in both laboratory grinders are available various materials such as stainless steel, hardmetal tungsten carbide and zirconium oxide etc.

The maximum feed size per piece is approximately 20 mm edge length, the final fineness is freely adjustable between 12 mm and 0.1 mm.
